Corporate Communications
Long emails? Ain't nobody got time for that. No matter the content, I keep it simple, encouraging readers to skim, dig deeper, and act.
INTERNAL COMMUNICATIONS
Internal communication inviting employees to an event organized and hosted by my team (Culture & Engagement).
Used third-party tools to design the email and sign-ups. Organized and consolidated lots of detail into visually-pleasing bite-sized steps, so employees could quickly scan, understand the categories, and take immediate action.

After organizing and hosting corporate charity and engagement events, I'd share the details company-wide. Actual copy shown.
YP teams help build homes, communities and hope
September 12, 2014
During the month of September, YP teams across the US are joining forces with Habitat for Humanity, the largest not-for-profit builder in the world, which has helped more than 4 million people construct, rehabilitate or preserve homes since its founding in 1976. This YP Cares effort is opening doors in more ways than one—providing an unforgettable opportunity for team members to roll up their sleeves and truly give back to their local communities—and literally opening the front door for families to cross the threshold of their new Habitat home and enter a world of possibility.
At the core, we’re building homes.
Habitat much like YP, works through local businesses to impact communities while actively seeking locally appropriate materials and exploring green production techniques that promote energy efficiency and sustainability.
Teams from across the country – Glendale to Atlanta, Dallas to Kansas City – are getting involved. Volunteers, side-by-side with future homeowners, local contractors and Habitat experts, will get to experience the joy of building or rehabbing a home. No experience necessary, no task too small, and every contribution counts.
We’re also building communities.
YP's contribution will include bringing residents together to celebrate the accomplishments of one family who will finally realize their vision for a better life. Team members in Glendale will walk the neighborhood around their Sept. 13 build, inviting residents to a casual “meet and greet” to welcome their new neighbors and enjoy lunch from a local food truck.
“We help families create a better life … and help stakeholders revitalize neglected communities,” says Habitat CEO Jonathan Reckford. “When individual families and neighborhoods realize successes, surrounding communities reap benefits as well, and the ripple effects create more opportunities than we could ever imagine.”
But most importantly, we’re building hope.
See the 6 things YP Cares is helping to provide with each Habitat build. It’s more than just a roof over someone’s head.
